I am very familiar with God asking me to do something hard that turns into something painful.  Not exactly what I was hoping for.  No blessing.  No Joy.  No good fruit.  Just pain.  So, when I read Marva’s post, I could totally relate to it.  I appreciate her honesty.  And, really, she is such a treasure.  A real gem.  She truly does Sparkle and Shine!

If you need some encouragement to do the ‘hard thing’ that might lead to disappointment and hurt, head on over to Marva’s blog and read her post, When the Blessing for Obedience is Pain.  It will be so good for your heart.

PS…I’m really hoping to be able to pay her a visit one of these days…she lives in the British Virgin Islands!!!  WOOHOO!

Marva, please be sure to grab this “I’ve Been Featured” image below and add it, with a link to this page, to your post so that your readers can celebrate with you!

1.) Follow your hosts via their blog and/or social media channels. This is not mandatory, but appreciated!

2.) Leave 1-2 of your most recent CHRISTIAN LIVING posts. Please do not link DIY, Crafts, Recipes, etc. Links of this kind will be deleted. We also reserve the right to delete posts that don’t align with the theme or that are deemed by the hostesses to be inappropriate.

3.) Visit 1-2 other links and leave a meaningful comment! We want to encourage community, so please don’t link and run!

4.) All links are randomly sorted – feel free to link as early or as late as you’d like. The playing field is even!

  • Oh, Aimee, what a blessing this is! It’s really hard to write about the hard things (especially when your blog is all things sunny and bright — lol) but I feel God is calling me to be real and offer hope to those who are hurting. Yes, you really can shine through the pain because with God all things are possible.
Having you choose to feature this post feels like a huge kiss from God. Thank you so much!
    Blessings and sparkles,
