“I think you are lying to us.  You keep saying you are an introvert but you keep getting up there to share God’s word with us.”  I knew she was teasing about me lying, but I also understood what she meant.  It does seem like I have complete opposite ends of the spectrum – I am an introvert, but I love public speaking!  Weird, I know.

But public speaking and introverts can live in the same body.  I’m proof of that fact.  I think that the misconception comes from a misunderstanding of what an introvert actually is.  An introvert is not someone who is ‘shy’ or never talks.  In fact, we are talkers…when the topic matters to us.  Seriously, get me going on something I am passionate about and I won’t shut up.

Lois’ blog post title intrigued me.  I’ve never thought about the question myself, but it really is such a good one!  And Lois addressed it perfectly  – and this was great, “Just because someone is an introvert doesn’t mean she’s shy or shuns crowds or hates public speaking. Likewise, just because someone is an extrovert doesn’t mean he wants to be running with a large pack 24/7.”  Hop on over to her site to read Was God an Introvert?

Lois, please be sure to grab this “I’ve Been Featured” image below and add it, with a link to this page, to your post so that your readers can celebrate with you!
